Safety Rules
- Each participant is obliged for a check of his rigg by our
official rigger. Equipment that do not comply the requirements
and conditions of our local law, may not be jumped. Please be
aware that Round Reserve Canopies are not permitted.
- Due to Swiss law, reserve canopies have to packed by an official
rigger no more than six months behind actual day of using.
- An automatic opening system (AAD) is recommended.
- Dangerous maneuvers, which could impact skydivers as well
visitors or infrastructure, are forbidden at all. Hook-turns,
low pull maneuvres, as well not following the rules of approaching
the landing zone, are spe-cially recognized to be forbidden.
In offences, the security committee (build out of chief parachute
training Château-d' Oex, chief airport of Gruyère
and chief Pop’s World Meet) can exclude failed people
from further jumps.
- Activities have to based on the directions
of the Swiss parachute-sport-association and the Swiss legislation
concerning the aviation
The World Meet Pops is a fairplay event for adults sharing the
same goal and passion: having fun in a safe way by skydiving!
Therefore a large « Fairplay » is expected of all.
Insurances
The mandatory liability insurance for CHF 1'000'000.-
is included in the registration fee. Accident and repatriation
insurance are not mandatory, but highly recommended. People who
do not possess such cover in their own country, have the possibility
to take out a medical ex-penses insurance (care and hospitalization)
for a month; costs CHF 274.50. Repatriation is not included in
this insurance. Beginning of the coverage can be determined by
the policy-holder. If you're interested in such insurance, please
mention this on the application form.
